The Noguchi Playscape in Piedmont Park opened in 1976. Artist Isamu Noguchi designed this playground for the High Museum of Art with a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. It fell into disrepair and a lot of the playground was inoperable and inaccessible for many years. It was restored in 2009.
Some may call it art; I call it a funky old-school playground.
One of my favorite spots in Atlanta! We’re lucky to have this playscape in our city.
